Good Day SFPA Members and Former Members,

The Board of Directors is sending you all wishes for a safe and warm holiday season.

As our practice season comes to a close, we are gearing up for next season and the West Coast Challenge which will be played in San Francisco in August of 2022. More info on that to come.

Huge congratulations to the winners of the City Championship and the Founders Cup.

This past season has been an opportunity to practice and get back onto the tables. We didn’t charge dues and didn’t have all of our wonderful tournaments. Next season we plan on returning to a more regular schedule. We will be charging dues for the Spring 2022 season but the amount has not changed….$70 for a plentitude of pool. A bargain for sure!

We have some important info below with more details to follow:

BCA dues and Fargo ratings-for players who play in BCA sanctioned tournaments, the league has paid the annual dues for all players. You can see your Fargo rating at FargoRate.com or download the FargoRate app to check ratings.

Spring Season Registration-January 11th at the Pilsner from 6:30 to 8pm.


Spring Season begins February 8th.

We are looking to recruit a few more bars into the league so let us know if you know of a bar that may want to sponsor the league.

Amazon Smile-help raise some money for the league. We have registered an account with Amazon Smile. Go to ‘All’ and then ‘Amazon Smile’ and then choose your charity. We are listed as San Francisco Pool Association. If you shop on Amazon, add us to your Smile account. Please let your shopping friends know as well!

The Board has changed the bylaws so that all teams may have 8 players on their roster without Board approval.

November 2, 2021, starts our Tournament season. City Championships are double elimination while Founders Cup is single elimination. Please note that you may be scheduled to play at an alternate location. The team with the highest average has home advantage. If your team is not listed on the current week you either have a BYE WEEK or your team has been eliminated.

Our Fall 2021 elections are happening. Please use this link to vote for Board of Directors for the positions of: Vice-President, Treasurer, Co-Head Referee and Co-Member-at-Large. It will only take a few minutes and we appreciate your support.

Hello members,
I hope you all are well and enjoying shooting pool again.

This season the Board positions up for reelection are: Vice President, Treasurer and Co-Head Referee (Hydron’s position). The Co-Member-at-Large position was recently vacated by Nick Landsdown and the Board appointed Skip Perry for that role. We were extremely happy to welcome him to the Board and he has jumped right in.

If any of you want to run for any of these positions, please let me know as soon as possible as this is a short season and we need to get those ballots out.

The league is not playing this Tuesday September 7. We are taking the night off. A lot of the bars have pre-programmed their pool tables from 6:30 till 11:59. So there will be a lot of free pool tomorrow. Please support your home bars and go out and shoot some free pool.
