West Coast Challenge Qualifying: Individual & Women’s

Timing
– 11:00 am warmup
– 11:30 play begins
Eligibility
– SFPA members in good standing who have played at least 25% of available regular season games
Format
– Double elimination
– Alternating breaks
– Race to 3 winners and losers bracket
– Grids within each division ranked by season record
Divisions
– All-Star: Players with season record of .600 and above
– Rising Star: Players with a season record between .501 and .599, or past WCC participants with record under .501
– Star Search: Players with a season record under .501 and never participated in WCC
– Women’s: All female league members
Notes
– Players can choose to move up to a higher bracket, let the TD know by signup close time of 11:30 am
– There is a maximum of 16 players in each open bracket
– If a bracket is full, the player can join the next available bracket
– For example, if a player had a season record under .600, they can request to play in All-Star. However, if there are more than 16 players with a .600+ record or who have requested to play in the All-Star division, we will only include the 16 players with the best season records. Players with a season record under .501 can request to play in either All-Star or Rising Star.
Prizes
– Plaque for the winner in each division
– In addition, the following number of players in each division advance to the West Coast Challenge:
* All-Star: Top 5
* Rising Star: Top 2
* Star Search: Top 1
* Women’s: Top 4
– Advancing players will receive a $500 stipend for their travel to Long Beach.
