Congratulations to all members for making it through another action-packed SFPA season!
The Pilsner InnDecisives successfully defended their City Championship, taking down the Happy Lounge Rawhides 9-2. The Rawhides made a strong run through the losers bracket and took down the InnDecisives 9-6 in the first final match, but came up just short in the double elimination rematch. Smoke & Rumors and the Route 101 Nomads rounded out the top 4.
In the Founders Cup, Coyle’s Goyles belied their 14th seed to win their first SFPA championship, surviving two tiebreakers along the way – including the final match! League stalwarts Shovel This finished 2nd, followed by Gino’s Diamonds and Cinch Pack.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the Pilsner Inn on Tuesday, February 20, for the season-ending party. Dinner starts at 6 pm, followed by the awards ceremony, Hall of Fame recognition, and finally the traditional turkey shoot for free season dues. We will hand out plaques to individual tournament winners and the top 4 team finishers in the City Championship and Founders Cup brackets.
