Luby Results

The winners of the Luby last night are:
Rob Ross-Slate Silver Sparkles
JM Reasonda-Churchill Alter Boys
Mike Franklin-Shovel That
Folks had a marvelous time and there was some spectacular pool played by all.

Special thinks to Thomas E. Moyer who supported the tournament both nights and who literally made it possible. We could not have done it without him and his bracket wisdom.
Thanks to Troy Brunet, Anthony Hydron and Bob Schnatterly for your advice and camaraderie both weeks and to all of the other experienced players who were there.

March schedule

Regular league play is taking a two-week break for BCA Las Vegas. We will return for Week 7 on April 5.

Bernie King Memorial tournament

On Sunday, March 13, we will be contesting the Bernie King Memorial tournament at Billiard Palacade (5179 Mission Street).

This is a charity event with two brackets, one for players with a record of .501 or higher in their last full season and one for players with a record of .500 or lower in their last full season. (For the purposes of this tournament, “last full season” will mean Fall 2019 or earlier.) The entry fee for SFPA members is $20. Non-SFPA members are allowed to play with a $25 entry and will participate in the upper bracket.

Warmup starts at 11:15 a.m. and tournament play begins at 12 noon. We hope to see you there!

Luby postponed

Due to a conflict at the Cinch on February 26, the Luby Invitational tournament will be changing dates to Tuesday, March 22. Tables will be open for warmup at 6:30 pm and the event will start at 7:00 pm.

As a reminder, new league members this season and players with a season record of .500 or below for the past 2 seasons are eligible to play in the event, which is named after Luby Pelletier, one of the founders of the SFPA. Participation is free and coaching is allowed.
